About:

I created Lotus 616, my interior design studio, to provide affordable, fresh and creative solutions to owners, operators and residents of senior living communities. Like any business, mine has evolved to also include residential and smaller commercial properties. Do you have a project? Let me help you create the space of your dreams.

Outstanding interior design is born from passion, intuition, and the ability to select and arrange components to evoke a desired emotion. My goal is to carefully listen to my clients and translate their story through interior design. The designs I create bring a sense of harmony, balance, and purpose to the end user.

What inspires me? Two things! Mother Nature and my clients!

Having lived in several communities with vastly different environments, I have observed and appreciate how the natural world weaves elements together. This is equally true whether in a desert with high temperatures and sun scorched flora and fauna, or a Northern woodland forest with its seasons of sleep, rebirth, growth, and rest. My greatest lesson from nature is how to create bridges between various environments. My specialty is to create timeless designs by bringing outdoor elements inside.

I am confident that my education and work experience in the commercial furniture industry, has provided me the knowledge and skills required to create spaces that reflect your brand.

I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Harrington College of Design (Chicago) as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communications from Western Michigan University (Kalamazoo).

Frankenmuth, MI | Re-design

Transformed existing dining/living room @ senior living community into a Great Room. Centered the space around 18 foot stone fireplace. Additional custom features included: large activity table to accommodate wheelchairs, commercial grade furniture with Crypton fabrics, barnwood and faux grass.

Legacies Village Independent Living Center

Caledonia, MI | New Construction

This special project was inspired by the client's love of the Mackinaw Bridge and his uncle woody.

Independent Living Community Center

Placement of oversized ceiling hung light fixtures provide lots of light.

Cleanable materials installed inside the Cafe service counter area.

LED light strips installed on the underside of shelving provides better lighting for seniors to view library books.

Large fireplace provides extra warmth in the room.

The custom wall covering creates a cozy ambience for the Salon.

Fitness Center sports a unique floor covering called Kinetex. The benefits of soft surface with the performance of hard-surface.

See-through fireplace connects the game table area with lounge area. A distinctive centerpiece you can enjoy from any angle.

You love your existing furniture, but you want it to be re-arranged to meet your current needs. Working from home? Baby on the way? Family is spending more time with you? You need a professional designer to provide you a dimensioned drawing of your space so that you can make your space more user friendly. Guiding you to re-define the space.

Submit 3-6 photos of the existing space via email.
Within (24) hours designer will email you link to submit $75 payment.
Upon receipt of payment you will receive guidance from a professional interior design on paint colors that will work with your existing finishes. Typically 24-48 hours.
